Namomie Paddlety, Hasinai Society Princess 2007-2009

Olivia Woodward, Hasinai Society Princess 2005-2007

Olivia is the daughter of Larry and Diana Woodward, the granddaughter of Raymond Parton and Jeanetta Redden and the great-granddaughter of Mabel and Harris Parton.

Olivia is of Caddo and Euchee descent and is very active in Native American activities in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. This year she made the commitment to participate in the many activities of the Hasinai Society and represent the organization at dances across the states of Oklahoma and Texas.

She lives in North Richland Hills, Texas, and attends the 7thth Grade.  Olivia loves school and was on the A honor roll every six weeks of her elementary career.  She will be taking Advanced Placement classes in reading, english and social studies.  After extensive testing she was placed in a special Math program that allows her to skip 7th grade math and go right into 8th Grade Math.  Olivia plays the baritone in Honors Band, beating out several 8th graders for 2nd chair.   She has been recommended for a advanced journalism class and will be on the school newsletter and yearbook staff.  She is a member of the Great Plains Restoration Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the buffalo and prairie dogs to the Great Plains of America.

Olivia enjoys pow-wows where she dances the Southern Cloth, but she says her “heart literally jumps for joy when I am stomp-dancing”.  Her Euchee family has danced at the Polecat grounds in Kellyville, OK for many generations.  Olivia loves to stomp dance and always dances till dawn.  She is very proud of being both Caddo and Euchee.  Olivia is working hard to learn the Caddo language
